Dylan ThomasDylan Thomas was born on October 27, 1914 in Swansea, Wales. His overprotect was a teacher and his mother was a housewife. Thomas was asickly child who had a slightly introverted personality and shied awayfrom school. He didnt do well in math or science, but excelled inReading and English. He left school at age 17 to locomote a journalist.In November of 1934, at age 20, he moved to London to continue topursue a career in opus. His first collection of poems called 18Poems was released in 1934. Many people loved his work, and he gainedinstant recognition. His second collection released in 1936, 25 Poems,was similarly popular. The year he released his second collaboration ofpoems was also the year that he met his future wife, CaitlinMacNamera. They decided to get out married in July of 1937, and moved toLaugharne, Wales in 1938. One year later, they had their first child,Llewelyn.
